Training Camp Notes, Highlights, etc…
Hello All!
As I have not been out to camp yet, I want to refer you over to FieldGulls.com where Danny Kelly and friends are keeping you up to speed on all things camp related.
I’ll be able to make a few notes next week when I get out there, but for some nice in-depth play-by-play coverage of the goings on there, check in with Danny. He’s posting some great stuff there.
A few free agency notes:
- Former Steelers’ kicker Jeff Reed visited Seattle today. No word on an impending signing, as of right now.
- Former Rams All-Pro fullback Mike Karney, 30, is reportedly planning to visit Seattle. The ‘Hawks need a true fullback to bolster the running game, and the recent signing of Michael Robinson is by no means a sufficient filler to that need.
- Seattle signed UDFA running back Chase Reynolds out of Montana. Reynolds is a tall, underweight back who dominated division I FCS. He’s been noted by several scouts as a potential sleeper in this year’s class.
- Seattle is also rumored to be interested in former Redskins’ linebacker Chris Wilson. Wilson, 30, is a former CFL standout who, in 4 full NFL seasons has totaled 6 career sacks (4.0 in ’07) without having ever started a game.
Cheers!
