‘Hawks Add Ryan Sims, Re-Sign Jennings…

The Seahawks have agreed to a deal with defensive tackle Ryan Sims, a former first round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs (2002) who most recently played for Tampa Bay.

Sims will be competing with Junior Siavii (recently re-signed), Kentwan Balmer and Jay Alford, among a few others, for a depth position along the interior D-line.

According to SI’s Peter King, the ‘Hawks have also brought back cornerback Kelly Jennings for a year.  This isn’t a huge surprise considering that the “ideal fit” free agent corners have pretty much been gobbled up (Antonio Cromartie re-joined the Jets this morning), and Jennings knows this system and staff.

Cheers!
